Visitors Convention and Visitors Bureau & Maps
The Visitor’s Bureau is always a good place to start a search, as new events are constantly being added. They also have a great maps page with maps to the Haymarket, University, Downtown and the Trails all in one easy location to view or download. Lincoln has an outstanding trail system, so make sure to check that out. If you haven’t been in Lincoln for a while, the Antelope Valley/Union Plaza will be new to you. Enjoy! |

Lincoln Historical Ghost Quest – Haymarket “Spirits” Tour |
1 ½ hour walking tour includes visits to four Haymarket businesses and bars in search of ghosts. Tour tickets are $50 and includes drinks and tips! Thursday and Friday times available. Please book 3-weeks in advance. Special tours can be set up for groups of 6 or more if you want to go with a group of classmates. |
Scooter LNK |
Want to “buzz” around and see more sights? Consider renting a scooter! Helmets highly recommended. You will need either a Bird or a Spin App, which you can download from their websites or from any of the App stores. |
Bike LNK |
Scooters not your thing? Rent a bike instead and see the sights at a more leisurely pace. BikeLNK also offers e-bikes to make the tour even easier. Register on their website for special 1 or 3-day passes or use the Bcycle App. All bikes are first come, first served, so plan accordingly. Helmets are strongly encouraged! |
Lincoln Trolley |
A trolley ride for $.25? Is that even possible? Yes, it is. You can ride the Trolley for a mere quarter and it will take you to a number of attractions in downtown and the haymarket. There is no trolley service after 8:30 pm or on Sunday. Look for the small trolley icon (below) for landmarks served by the trolley.

Haymarket Farmer’s Market
A great farmer’s market in the Haymarket is also within walking distance of the HQ hotel. It starts on Saturday morning at 8:00 and runs until noon. Lots and lots of great shops with local products of all types. The ‘Wildwoods’ will be performing in Haymarket’s open-air Iron Horse Park the week of our reunion. |
Group Therapy Bike Tours |
Bikes and scooters too tame for you? We have the answer. A pedal bar where you can pedal around the Haymarket and enjoy an adult beverage with your friends at the same time. What is not to like? The self-propelled trolley holds 15 so book this early! |
Morrill Hall/UNL Campus & Innovation Campus
There is so much to see at the University, and most is within easy walking distance of the HQ hotel. You won’t believe how campus has changed, including the truly outstanding and recently renovated Morrill Hall. |

Lincoln Children’s Zoo |
Yet another great venue that has been totally transformed, which means you won’t recognize it if you haven’t visited for a while. The zoo recently underwent a major renovation that more than doubled its size, allowing the zoo to feature giraffes, elephants and over 25 endangered species. |
Museum of American Speed |
Another new feature to Lincoln’s landscape. The Speedway Museum of American Speed is a world class collection of race car, automotive memorabilia and engines. This is a “can’t miss” opportunity for the car enthusiast. |
Nebraska State Capitol
No, the state capitol is not new. It has been newly renovated, however, but only the “unseen bits” so the building itself is in pristine condition. You’ve always told yourself that you would visit this Nebraska landmark someday. Now is the time! |
Wyuka Cemetery |
Who wants to tour a cemetery? You do! Trust me on this one. The Wyuka tour is a fascinating look into Lincoln’s history. Tours are either self-guided or conducted by local historian Ed Zimmer. You will learn a lot about Lincoln. This may be another opportunity to set up your own private tour with a bunch of classmates. |
International Quilt Museum |
For those of you who haven’t been in Lincoln for a while, you probably didn’t even know that this world-class museum is located in Lincoln. Located on the University’s East campus, it’s a great museum and worth the trip. |
Sunken Gardens |
Another Lincoln staple that thankfully hasn’t changed much. Set it one of Lincoln’s most historic neighborhoods it is always an amazing visual treat. Driving or biking around the historic homes is fun, too. |
Kennard House |
Lincoln’s oldest building on the original plat just completed an extensive exterior renovation is now open for tours, which are by appointment only. Grab a few classmates and visit a unique piece of Lincoln’s history. |
Robber’s Cave |
Talk about déjà vu! I am sure you visited Robber’s cave at one time or another as a youth. What a great way to relive some great memories! This is another tour that requires pre-booking and would make a fun time for a group of classmates. |
Nebraska History Museum
Another great museum within walking distance of our HQ hotel. The exhibits span 13,000 years of history and include current events with a very local flavor. An easy walk and a fun place to learn more about Lincoln. |
