Beth was a good friend and neighbor growing up on LaSalle Street, near Pound Jr. High.  She and her brother Rod were frequently part of our group doing the usual fun kid stuff -- riding bikes and skateboards, sleding, playing catch in the yard or watching TV.  Since no one had color TV it didn't matter much which house we went to for after school cartoons. It was a great neighborhood growing up, and Beth was an active part of it.  She will be missed.

Beth and I were close friends in high school and the years shortly after. She was a beautiful person who added light and love to this world. I wish her peace.

I saved this photo that was part of the yearbook candids.  You'll see other familiar faces in this group which looks like it was Mrs. Connors' class.

Beth and I met at Pound and we were really close friends all through jr. high. We hung out at her house on LaSalle since it was so close to school. She was a fun-loving, generous person. This is truly sad news. Peace be with you, my friend, and with your family and loved ones.

I met Beth through my childhood friend Laurie McClatchey while attending Pound in 9th grade. Laurie and Beth were bestfriends, and I was lucky enough to be included as a friend too. Beth was such a sweet person and so pretty. She was already dating Rolf Shasteen when we were in 9th grade! She and Rolf later got married. I am grateful to have known Beth and am deeply saddened at her passing. My heart goes out to Beth's son Jacob and her husband Del, and all of her family and friends.

Beth and I became friends at Pound Jr. High. I remember going to a couple of slumber parties at her house not far from the school. She had such a great, fun spirit, and was a beautiful
girl.
We would run into each other through the years, and it was always nice to see her and reminisce, with smiles and a hug.
She will be missed.
My condolences to her family and loved ones.
Rest in peace, Beth.

FYI, Beth's senior photo did make the Shield.  Her senior summary did not.

Here is her photo from page 163, next to Jim Krieger.
