In Memory

Karen Rippe (Collings)

We are saddened to learn of Karen's passing on Nov. 15, 2020. She was well liked within our class and will be greatly missed. Karen was the wife of Larry Collings, also a classmate.

Karen was one of the first people I met as a very anxious 10th grade student from Lincoln Lutheran Junior High. Karen was very outgoing and friendly & we remained friends throughout our years at LSE. One memory that stands out was a invitation to a slumber party at her home across from Cathedral close to LSE. We didn't really get much slumber that night but did have lots of fun! Because of people like Karen, along with other delightful classmates who welcomed an unknown to a huge high school-I soon felt right at home. Peace be with you my friend.

Karen was a kind and caring friend.  We rode Lutheran school buses together for several years before we arrived at LSE.  She lived two short blocks from Southeast.  I thought that was really cool, especially since my brother and I seemed to live miles away on the edge of town.  Rest in Peace my friend.

Karen was such a kind hearted classmate. She would always share a greeting in the classroom and hallways. Never failed to brighten my day with her smile. Heaven received an angel as we lost a wonderful classmate.
