Barb lived life large and obviuosly continued to give back to so many. It's hard to know her smile and heart have traveled on their final journey.

Barb and I were friends in HS especially after serving on the Shield team together. I moved to Boulder, CO in 1972 and she sent me a very fun care package including a "naughty" book. A tutorial? I missed her at the 50th reunion and learned then she was ill. RIP, friend!

I have so many great memories of Barb. I of course knew Barb in HS but really became friends when we lived on the same floor of Pound Hall our freshman year at UNL. She and Julie Dresselhaus were a couple of doors down the hall. There were several of us that hung out that year. We all pledged different houses but spent many evenings going out for dinner and having fun. She was a riot. Had the best laugh. We didn't stay in touch but when I think of my college days she is definitely part of my memories. I'm so sad to hear of her passing. Such a loss.

Barb was a lifelong friend, from riding our bikes to Eden pool every day all summer to kayaking at her lake house.  In between we enjoyed slumber parties, water skiing, tennis, bridge, reading, needlepoint, and laughing.  She was whip-smart, kind, generous, and funny.  The world is a better place because of Barb, and she will be missed.

I knew Barb from Journalism and Math classes. We rolled our eyes together at Mr Fauss' bad jokes or puns. Barb was a really positive person with a great sense of humor. I never saw her give anybody grief or a hard time. She'll be missed.

So sorry to learn of Barb's passing. Shared a few classes in our three years, but didn't get to know her until our last semester at LSE. I was an office assistant with her and her sense of humor and help was so pleasant and enjoyable. She made a person feel as though you were friends for a long time. She truly had a wonderful heart and caring way about her. It is amazing some of the things we remember as we look back on those days we shared back in those teenage years. Barb just made them a little better in her own special way. Prayers for her and her family.

Barb's and my friendship began toward the end of high school.  Barb, Carol (Gant) and I played a lot of bridge and drank a lot of coffee at Village Inn when she was in law school, I was in graduate school, and Carol was home for a visit while teaching in Minnesota.  Barb and I both ended up in Omaha where we played a lot of golf, defined out profession careers and saw each other through good times and not so good.  She was a driving force and pioneer at Union Pacific establishing a healthy dining room and workout facility at their corporate headquarters and an independent childcare center.  She was a special friend that will sorely be missed.

Barb and I met at Calvert grade school. We were in Bluebirds and Campfire Girls together. She lived near Pound Jr High and I remember always stopping at her house as we walked home after school. Her mom always had some yummy treat for us...great memories of our friendship in those years! Barb was kind, super smart, and genuine. She will truly be missed!
