I started Lefler in 8th grade and had classes with Jeannie. I always thought she was way out of my league, but she never failed to say hi and smile at me. She stayed the same way in high school. I'm guessing she lived a full adventurous life, at least I'd like to think she did. May her friends and family find peace, comfort, and joy in your memories of Jeannie.

Jeanne was my best friend since grade school.  We had so many adventures together, like driving the VW to Colorado with a loaf of bread and a jar of peanut butter to last us a few days.  Later, we kept in touch and traveled together to Israel and Maui as well as all around California, Washington, and Canada. She was the most incredible person I know.  Despite her health challenges, she never complained, was always positive and happy, and had incredible strength.  She easily shared her faith in God and lived her life to the fullest. I will forever treasure our friendship.  She is and always will be my best friend and sister.

Jeanne Knight might have had a size 2 Pep club uniform, but she always had a great deal of spirit. I was sorry to hear of her passing. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

I met Jeanne in Jr. High when we a lot of us attended the Canteen and Nine High dances. She was such a cute and spirited as well as honest person. We shared a house (her mother's) with Lana Miller and Belinda Paul after High School where we shared many fun times. I remember Jeanne as being very adventurous and one of a kind. I had not seen her since our ten year High School Reunion, however, we kept in touch via Facebook. She will be missed greatly and never forgotten; always loved. heart

Respectfully,

Vicki Grossenbacher

Jeanne's first car was bigger than a house!  We had to duct-tape a wooden block to the accerlator pedal for her to be able to reach it!

She had such spirit.  In spite of life's challenges over the years, she never complained, she stayed focus on the positive.  I was fortunate to have relatives in the San Diego area and was able to reconnect when she moved back to the mainland.  She was a dedicated and loyal friend, mother and the proudest grandma I have ever known.

She will be missed by her family and her friends, but her laughter rings in my ears and the smile is forever in my heart for I know she is now without pain.  You are missed my friend.

A wonderful statement that the LSE class of 1971 mingled well. I knew Jeanne in passing during H.S.and her bookcover good looks was outshined by her inner beauty and joyfulness. I am sadened by her death and had no idea she was living in San Diego, Ca all those years...I moved to SD, Ca in 1977 and was in Southern California until 2011. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends through a heartfelt loss.Love and Light, Linda Yost

On the occasion of our 50th reunion, let me just say that hardly a day goes by that I don't think of Jeanne. She was one of my dearest friends. She was by turns funny, naughty, and a golden angel. Miss you so much, Jeanne. Sending up so much love to you!
